Also code would be fun to see. You remind me of the 7DRL (Seven Day RogueLike) comp. on rec.games.roguelike.development... it is fun sometimes to set limitations and do something fast - esp if you are doing that procastinating programming. As for updates - WordPress allows you to save drafts, does it also allow you to schedule releases? This way one can get 7 articles ahead and schedule them to release one a day at the start of the day and ppl come to expect a new article any day they sign on - a good blog approach I think that allows you to also go on holidays! Of course one can prioritise a new exciting post to the top of the schedule one would hope some feature would allow this to be done and automatically shuffle the rest back (rather than manually setting dates).
