Approaching an exciting time with the core open source products for Windows, openoffice.org has released the next major version 2 – release candidate 1.

Firefox browser has a beta of a big milestone product 1.5 (the latest production release 1.0.7) – Thunderbird email client also has a 1.5 beta (the latest production release 1.0.7);

Finally what rounds off my “core open source products” for Windows – as I use them anyway, Filezilla ftp client/server, which has just a stable release on source forge 2.2.16 for the client and 0.9.10a for the FTP server;
