Nice. Thankfully my life as a coder began with only one year of goto's in pascal (i think). C/C++ baby, all the way.

Although I've never written a dll in c/c++. Is it very much fun?

Dll's are greatly misunderstood.

Extremely powerful yet dangerous....they can turn an "economist" into a extremely bad programmer.

Especially if he has read "Code Complete" and jumped past the code part to the end of the book, whilst consuming too much coffee and deciding that Goto statements are more effective than If, routines, functions and procedures.

More to this point I have seen a dll with a single function that was a state machine.

Not event the state machine knew how it worked. A bit like an economist and the economy!!!!!

More to follow.....
